This
course introduces student-teachers to developmental milestones of children from
conception to 6 years of age using indigenous and scientific knowledge. It
covers physical, motor, sensory, communication and feeding milestones. It
exposes student-teachers to aspects of child growth and their characteristics.
Furthermore, the course equips student-teachers with knowledge about possible
causes, identification of developmental delays and special needs using track
record tools.
