The
course is designed for all students registered as Mathematics majors in the
department of Pure Sciences. It is intended to broaden student-teachers'
understanding of the teaching of mathematics together with the roles and
responsibilities of members of the mathematics department. Topics covered in
this course include; effective mathematics teacher; mathematics department;
lesson study; setting of test items and marking guides; and marking mathematics
test items.
