This course prepares student teachers for the teaching of biology at senior secondary level. It helps student teachers to interpret and use curriculum material for the last two years of secondary education in biology. It enables student teachers to explore ways of facilitating accurate formation of biological concepts in learners, diagnosis and dealing with misconceptions in biology. It further enhances skills in identifying issues in biology and integrating them into the teaching. Further planning and utilization of a variety of teaching media for the teaching of biology are also dealt with.
