This course introduces students to a number of Physical Geography phenomena. It starts by looking at the broad perspective of the earth as a planet and its relationship with other heavenly bodies. Atmospheric conditions of temperature, winds, precipitation; etc, form a very important basis of weather and climate and will be dealt with in great detail. Other important aspects of physical geography such as; land forms, oceans, soils and vegetation will receive treatment and attention as well. Finally, the course discusses the interrelationships of the above – mentioned concepts to man.
