The course aim at providing student teachers with skills to correctly interpret syllabus in order to develop and construct quality scheme of work, lesson plans and instructional materials. Its scope highlights proper management of school records and their significance, provision of skills to design, develop and select teaching materials which are compatible with lesson objectives, learning activities, approaches and teaching techniques, it also discusses Theories of Multiple Intelligence, Bloom's Taxonomy and three domains of learning. It further introduces the student teachers to the concept of micro-teaching, why it is useful in teacher education and how it operates. Other major course aspects include general content delivery methods, strategies, logical instructional design model (Assurer Model), learning theories of digital age, pedagogical skills and elements of integrated curriculum, associated learning outcomes, concepts, competencies, values, etc.
