COURSE SYNOPSIS
Students will learn about terms used in child care and development: (pre-conception care, prenatal /antenatal care, postnatal care, Fertilization/ conception, zygote, chromosomes, genetic inheritance, embryo, fetus, A phenotype and genotype). Fetal life supports systems. Stages of prenatal development, New born, baby’s arrival, Suitable clothing for an infant, advantages of breast feeding as opposed to bottle feeding psychosocial development in early childhood, and Play (the business of early childhood)
