The course is a brief
history of Mathematics, focusing more on contributions made by other societies
such as Egyptians, Hindus and Arabs, Greeks etc. in the development of
Mathematics. The role of Mathematics in Lesotho education curriculum with
regard to national goals of education, goals of secondary education and aims
and objectives of teaching and learning Mathematics will be discussed. Learning
theories also form part of this course. The course will further address the
evaluation and assessment in Mathematics.
