The course has been developed in order to give an understanding about materials, processes and techniques involved in metalwork, also including practical experiences. The course will provide an opportunity for design project planning, identification and selection of suitable materials, and processing these materials using appropriate hand and machine tools.
The course will emphasise upon possible hazards associated with practical workshop activities and encourage good habits of a safe working practice.
The course is offered in the second semester of the first academic year
