The course explores foundations of curriculum, particularly, philosophies of idealism, pragmatism and existentialism: psychology of mental discipline, natural unfoldment, behaviorism and Gesalt field and how they impact on design, instruction and the concepts of learning. The course briefly compares the approaches of the Objectives and the Process Models of design and their implications for design and instruction.
