The course focuses on methods and strategies for teaching and learning mathematics at Junior secondary level. The methods and strategies that will be explored are discovery, discussion, cooperative learning, problem-solving, games, Socratic and exposition. After dealing with the methods and strategies the lesson plan will be discussed and the teaching materials will be constructed. Peer teaching where the use of materials and methods dealt with are involved will be done.
