The course is designed for all students registered in the department of Pure Sciences who will major in Mathematics at primary level. It is intended to equip student teachers with content and methods that will enable them to handle primary Mathematics with proficiency. The topics covered under content include directed numbers, algebra and trigonometry. The topics covered under methodology part include the use of problem-based learning (PBL) in the teaching and learning of mathematics as well as demonstrating knowledge on the 21st Century learning.
