The course is designed to improve student-teachers' language skills in a college setting. it focuses on skills required to perform in an english speaking academic context across core subject areas encountered in a college setting and beyond.topics will include academic writing where student-teachers will be exposed toreferencing and citation skills to avoid plagiarism. the course will also delve into reports, formal letters, argumentative essays, minute taking and communication skills.student-teachers will also be exposed to editorials, newspaper articles academic journals and documentaries. with regard to study skills, student-teachers will be exposed to study techniques such as time-tabling,group discussions and developing study skills and materials.
